GC University Lahore announces admissions to BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons)
Degree Programme 2009. The BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons) Degree Programme is
considered by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) to be
equivalent to the regular Masters Degree awarded after 16 years of
education. A graduate with the BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons) Degree is eligible for
employment in BPS-17 and for pursuing higher education in relevant
discipline of M.Phil/MS Programme. The BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons) Degree Programme
is being offered in the following Subjects:
Faculty of Science &
Faculty of Arts & Social
Business Accounting & Finance,
Faculty of Languages and
Islamic & Oriental Learning:
Prospectus and Admission Forms along with Rules,
Regulations & Guidelines for admission to BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons) Degree
Programme on Open Merit, A’ Level/Equivalent qualification, Disability,
Overseas Pakistanis, Minorities, Co-Curricular and Sports basis will be
available at the following branches of the United Bank Limited
from 17-08-09 to 24-08-09 (during banking
Riwaz Garden, Lahore.
Wahdat Road, Lahore.
Tufail Road, Lahore Cantt.
The Mall, Lahore (Opposite Y.M.C.A)
Candidates can also download Admission Forms from
HERE and attach a bank draft of Rs. 550/- in favour
of the Treasurer, GC University Lahore should reach the Registrar, GC
University Lahore through courier service by due date.
Candidates who apply for English Literature
will have to appear in the written test to be held on 26-08-2009
at the New Block, Room No. 302, 303, 304 at 10:00 a.m. The list
of the candidates who qualify the written test will be displayed on
27-08-2009 at 02:00 p.m. on the notice boards at New Block.
Interviews will be conducted in New Block on 28-08-2009 at

Examination in the 1st Annual 2009 or 2008 with atleast 50%

A’Level/ Equivalent candidates can also apply on
Sports & Co-curricular basis. However, they have to participate in the
trials/ tests to be held from 26-08-2009 to 29-08-2009 & 26-08-2009 to
28-08-2009 respectively along with Intermediate candidates seeking
admission to BA/BSc 4-Year (Hons) Degree Programme.
A’Level / Equivalent candidates must obtain
Equivalence Certificate immediately after the declaration of A’Level/
Equivalent result and attached it with Admission Form. The merit will be
determined on the basis of the Equivalent Certificate issued by the
Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad.
Candidates applying for more than one category/ major have
to submit a separate admission form for each category/ major.
Financial Aid will be available to deserving
merit based scholarships are available for 4-Year BSc (Hons) Degree
