| Biography: |
Dr. Muhammad
Khalid Pervaiz has done his M.Sc (Statistics), LL.B from the Punjab
University, M.Sc (Social Statistics) and Ph.D in Statistics from
Southampton University, U.K. He has an excellent academic record to
his credit. His fields of specialization are Sampling, Multivariate
Analysis, Probability Distributions, Statistical Inference and
Quality Education. He has a teaching and research experience of
about 36 years. He has published 45 research papers in national and
international Journals. He has participated as a resource person in
many National and International Conferences, Seminars and Workshops.
He is an author of two books for M.Sc./M.Phil. Statistics students
titled "Distributions in Statistics" and "Multivariate Techniques".
He has successfully supervised 2 B.Sc (Hons), 13 M.Sc, 41 M.Phil and
2 Ph.D theses. Eight Ph.D scholars are working under his
supervision. The Best University Teacher Award for the year 2004 was
conferred to him by HEC and for the year 2010 by GC University. He
has been declared as 2nd and 1st most
productive scientist, in the discipline of Statistics, by the
Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, for the years 2005 and
2007, respectively. He has an honor to be selected as a Professor of
Statistics on Tenure Track in 2005. Since 2007 he is working as a
Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, GC University, Lahore –
Pakistan. |
