EDUCATION SOCIETY AND NAMS JOINTLY ORGANIZES A PANEL DISCUSSION

Education Society in collaboration with NAMS arranged a panel discussion on the topic of “Is Performing Art in GCU a Powerful Medium of Education” Prof. Mirza Ather Baig President Society Board GCU was the chief guest on the occasion. Representatives of the GCU Societies shared their views. Mr. Tariq Farani concluded this discussion by saying this line “Performing Art is the only medium of education.” Mirza Ather Baig acknowledged this discussion and suggested to conduct it on the university level. President Education Society conducted the proceedings.

TARIQ FARANI DELIVERS TWO LECTURES ON MUSIC

A lecture was arranged by Education Society in collaboration with NAMS on the topic of “Music and its Prevailing Genre”.  The lecture was delivered by Mr. Tariq Farani. In continuation of the previous series Mr. Farani also delivered another lecture on the topic of “Grammatic Eastern and Western Scales and their Applications”. President Education Society introduced the key speaker. The students took keen interest in the lectures.

THE EDUCATION SOCIETY ARRANGES A DOCUMENTARY PRESENTATION ON COSMOLOGY NAMED GALACTICA

The Education Society arranged a documentary presentation on Cosmology named Galactica, which was viewed by a large number of science students of the university. The objective of the documentary presentation was to aware the students about the various paradigms of the universe with special reference to our earth and the sun

The documentary covered detailed information regarding the mighty universe, its movement, position and reverse calculation. The documentary depicted the various paradigms related to the sun, the moon and the earth’s structural modules and the sizzling temperature of the sun, the atmospherically changes of the earth and the future prospects of life on earth were projected to the students. The outer layer of the sun is 6,000degree Celsius while its inner temperature is 150 million degree Celsius.

Chairperson Chemistry Department of the GCU Lahore Prof. Dr. M A Kashmiri appreciated the Education Society for presenting such an excellent documentary. He said that such documentaries should be shown to the students because these presentations enhance the horizon of the students and urged them to delve deep into the subject matter in order to further their knowledge in their relevant field. He said, our solar system is fining around its axis and galaxies are receding from one another. Dr. Kashmiri further told that the heart of the universe was pulsating and there is super symmetry in this universe.

Dr. Kashmiri said that the Vice Chancellor’s vigorous efforts pertaining enhancement of the academic caliber of the university are commendable and the GCU Lahore has always been in the limelight of high profile academic place for its quality standard education.

EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY STARTS ITS ACTIVITIES WITH A PANEL DISCUSSION

Educational society organized a panel discussion on the topic of university’s society role in academic culture. Dean of Social Sciences Dr. Khlaid Pervez was the Chief Guest. The representatives of all the universities and departmental level societies discussed issues related with their societies and proposed some measures to improve the role of the societies in academic life of the GCU. The Chief Guest appreciated the society to organize such programme.
