Call for Papers
The 2012 Issue of the Explorations,
a literary and research journal
Explorations,
a literary and research journal,has been published since 1969 by the
Department of English, GC University Lahore. The journal can boast
an impressive list of researchers and writers whose writings first
appeared in it.
Explorations,
now a referred journal, invites submissions for the 2012 issue. Our
journal can publish both literary and research writing. The Literary
section will/may feature poetry and prose (fiction/non-fiction).
Research articles should be of critical nature, which apart from
English literature may also examine literatures available in other
languages, including local ones. The articles submitted for
publication must not be published elsewhere and should follow the
latest MLA Formatting and Style Guide.
Literary writings (poems or prose pieces) or Critical articles
between 3000 to 5000 wordsprepared in accordance with the MLA style
and accompanied by an abstract of 8-10 lines should be sent by June
30, 2012 to:

Note for Authors
Explorations,
an annual
literary and research journal of the Department of English language
and Literature, accepts innovative, research-based articles and book
reviews that have not been published previously. In the articles
submitted for publication, the latest MLA documentation style is to
be followed with parenthetical citations in the text and an
alphabetical list of “Works Cited”. The maximum word limit for an
article is 5000 words with an abstract of up to 500 words. The
author must also give written consent to publish his/her article in
Explorations and the permission to re-edit the submitted
article as per policies of the publication. It is the responsibility
of the author to ensure that the information and references included
in the article are correct.
