The Financial Aid pages are divided into the following main sections to help make finding your information convenient.

Financial Aid Overview

1. In view of the rising cost of the Higher Education all over the world, GC University, Lahore has kept its academic charges at the minimum possible scale. We provide quality education at affordable price. The University has a human approach towards all of its students. We offer a generous financial aid programme.

2. In case you intend to seek Financial Aid, you need to adopt the following procedures one after the other.

� First of all, you will have to apply for admission to the University in any course of your choice.

� After admission you can apply for financial aid in the prescribed form (Attachement-1) in order to pay your fees and make a partial contribution towards your other requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

i. Orphan students will attach death certificate issued by the Hospital / Local Government.

ii. Disable students will provide disability certificate from competent medical authority.

iii. Students belonging to earthquake areas will provide copy of NIC duly attested.

iv. Sports students will be considered for financial aid if recommended by the Director Sports.

v. Children’s of Government / Semi-Government employees will attach copy of pay slip of their parents.

vi. Children’s of employees of private institutions will attach copy of valid pay slip of their parents.

vii. Children’s of GCU employees admitted only on open merit will be considered for fee concession / financial aid. They will provide a copy of valid pay slip of their parents.

viii. Students whose parents hold private business will provide income certificate signed by the Union Council Nazim. (Attachment-2)

ix. Students whose parents derive income from Agriculture land will provide income certificate signed by the Lamberdar of the village. (Attachment-3)

x. Students belonging to FATA will provide income certificate issued by the MALIK duly signed by the Political Agent. (Attachment-4)

xi. Others. As advised by the Financial Aid Committee.

Guidelines for Grant of Financial Aid to Students

i. Financial aid application form can be downloaded from GC University, Lahore web site. (Attachment-1)

ii. Income Certificate in the prescribed form (Attachment 2,3 & 4), Mark Sheet, University Identity Card and father’s NIC will have to be provided alongwith the Applications Form.

iii. Application Form complete in all respects will be received in Treasurer’s office (Diary Section).

iv. Applicant will be interviewed if required by the Financial Aid Committee as per schedule.

v. Children of Government Servants upto BPS-16 will be preferred for grant of Financial Aid.

vi. Students repeating a course will be considered on merit on case-to-case basis.

� If failure is due to genuine reason, no cut to be imposed.

� If failure is deliberate and due to non-seriousness in studies, no financial aid will be given for the session.

vii. If Financial Aid is received on the basis of misstatement, fake/forge documents, full amount of financial aid will be recovered and additional same amount will be recovered as fine. In case of non-payment of above amounts the student’s name may be struck off the University Roll.

viii. Decision of the Financial Aid Committee will be final.
