GCU exhibits paintings of Islamic
Architecture
The
Islamic Studies Department GCU Lahore on Wednesday organized a
painting competition-cum-exhibition on theme of ‘Islamic
Architecture’ at Abdus Salam Hall. The paintings of famous mosques
and other Islamic structures including buildings of holy cities
Mecca and Madina and famous Taj Mahal were put on display at the
exhibition by the students of eight participating educational
intuitions. Sobia Naseem of Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB)
bagged the top position, while Madhia Shah of Defence Degree College
for Women, Lahore and Ifat Sadiq of IUB stood second and third
respectively. Samina Zulfiqar of Punjab University and Mazahar
Naveed of National College of Arts got consolation prizes.
