Engineering Cell Projects
TOP
In order to comfortably accommodate various
academic programmes for quality education and development-oriented
research, Government College University, desperately needs
expansion in its academic spheres. To meet the requirement, the
continuous problem of shortage of space is a big hindrance. After
successfully analyzing the solution to problem, it has been
decided by the statuary body of University and the Worthy Vice
Chancellor that existing structures of buildings to be assessed
for taking the additional structural load so that vertical
extension could be carried out. For this purpose The University
Works Committee, the Campus Architect and Engineering Cell jointly
with the assistance of University Consultants like NESPAK and EPDC
(Pvt) Ltd planned to conduct surveys and analyze the existing
foundation designs of various University Buildings for additional
load due to vertical extension of the existing buildings.
It
has now been established that New Block, Old Science Block and New
Hostel existing Buildings is taking/will taking the additional
storey load. Thus the creation of additional space for various
new and expanded academic programmes could be initiated for
modernizing the infrastructure.
Creation of extra space for four
Squash Courts for development of sports facilities have also been
catered. Moreover renovation/ conservation of old historic
buildings and beautifying the area to up-lift the face of
Government College University have been the hallmark of
construction activities since the elevation of College to
University level.
Following are some of the major and
