SAR Focus Group-III

QEC has successfully guided and facilitated three departments of the University in the process of producing SAR (Self Assessment Report) which is an imperative to generate IPR (Institutional Performance Report) and a binding by QAA-HEC (Quality Assurance Agency at Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).

                           

The Quality Enhancement cell at GC University Lahore formulated Focus Group-III for generating Self Assessment Report which includes seven departments form the faculty of Science and technology. i.e. Botany, Computer Science, Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics, SDSC and Zoology.

 

Four meetings with regard to the SAR Focus Group-III were held during the current quarter.

 

 The agenda of the first three meetings was detailed presentation and discussion on the “Self Assessment Manual” in order to resolve ambiguities/queries and to get a clear picture of the requirement of SAM before the PT members commence working on this report.

 

All the Eight Quality Criteria’s (QC’s) i.e. (QC1: Program Mission Objectives and Outcomes, QC2: Curriculum Design and Organization, QC3: Laboratories and Computing Facilities, QC4: Student Support and Guidance, QC5: Faculty, QC6: Process Control, QC7: Institutional Facilities, QC8: Institutional Support) were discussed in detail one by one and the descriptors related to each quality criteria.
