INFORMATION FOR THE AUTHORS
Journal of Statistics (JOS) welcome research papers
of theoretical or applied nature in all fields of Statistics. JOS is
an HEC approved online journal available at:
http://www.gcu.edu.pk/StatJourVol.htm
Manuscript
Manuscript of articles submitted for publication
should be typewritten in English with font style of Times New Roman
and double spaced with a margin of 4cm each on both sides. Title
should be concise and informative according to nature of theory and
research. Figures, diagrams and tables should be prepared on
separate pages with proper title and number. The electronic
readability of your submitted copy is of critical importance which
is to be emailed at login:

Abstract
Abstract should state briefly the purpose of the
research, the principal results and major conclusions. Abstract
should not exceed 250 words. Abstract should not include references
or equations. Abbreviations are not allowed in the Abstract.
Keywords
Four or five keywords should be given immediately
after the Abstract.
Headings
Each section/sub-section should be given a heading
and number.
Citation
When citing references in
the text, type the last name followed by the year of publication in
parentheses e.g. Lloyd, (1999). List
all last names of references with two or fewer authors. If there are
more than two authors, list the last name of the first author,
followed by et al. e.g. Ford et al., (1992). The citation may also
appear in parentheses (Lloyd, 1999). The work done by single author
or groups should be cited within the brackets separated by
semi-colon where brackets contain author(s) surname followed by
comma and year of publication e.g. (Ford et al.,
1992; Goode and Kao, 1961).
References
List all references at the end of the paper in
alphabetical order by primary author's surname.

published in a journal, in conference proceedings, a book etc. are

authors wish to make should be included in a separately headed
section before References.
Appendices
Appendices are presented immediately after the page
of References. They should be clearly labeled (e.g. Appendix 1) and
titled.
Offprint
Ten copies
of offprint will be provided to the principal author.
