A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed here on Sunday between the Government College University Lahore and Kotler Impact Inc, a world-renowned strategic marketing community named after Prof Philip Kotler, for collaboration in the field of education, research and training of faculty, professionals, staff and students.
The highlights of the accord include establishing Kotler-i Business School (KiBS) at GCU. They will also provide GCU and other students upto 2 million tickets for the World Marketing Summit, each ticket of the value of US$100.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Asghar Zaidi and Kotler Impact Chief Marketing Officer Dr Fahim Kibria signed the MoU at a graceful ceremony at the University's Syndicate Room. A special video message of Kotler Impact CEO Sadia Kibria was also shared with the participants of the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Fahim Kibria said that Kotler Impact (KI) believes in a generation that is sustainable, evolutionary, and transformable, and this would be achieved through the accumulation of marketplace diversity, the implementation of fundamental, educational resources, and the commitment of business and professional leaders who strive for excellence.
He said that Kotler-i Business School would be established that would also assist GCU in the training of faculty and professionals. He said the school would collaborate with the local and national industry and would prepare its students according to the needs of the industry.
Dr Fahim Kibria also pledged that KI would help GCU in establishing linkages with national and international organizations and industries for the internships and job opportunities for KIBS students.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Zaidi hoped that KiBS at GCU would offer a state-of-the-art novel education that is otherwise not available in Pakistan. He said GCU and KI would organize seminars and executive training programs at GCU for students, business people and relevant stakeholders by world leaders of business and marketing. He said that GCU would also assist KI in different case studies about Business and Marketing from Pakistan.
Prof. Zaidi said GCU would also help KI in holding the Electronic World Marketing Summit 2022. He said this year KI has offered two million free tickets for youth to participate in the World Marketing Summit to engage with Pakistan's bright students.
