The Old Ravians Union (ORU) has elected its new Executive Committee, with Athar Ismail Amjad securing the position of President. The elections witnessed enthusiastic participation from the alumni of Government College University (GCU) Lahore.
GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Ali Shah extended his congratulations to the newly elected leadership, expressing hope that the ORU would continue to strengthen alumni engagement and contribute to the university's development.
According to unofficial results, Athar Ismail Amjad has been elected as President, while Mian Sohail Anwar will serve as Senior Vice President. Khalid Mehmood Ranjha has been elected as Vice President (Male), and Hunza Jamil as Vice President (Female). Shahab Basharat has assumed the position of Secretary General, while Ammar Saleem will serve as Finance Secretary. Abdul Rehman Babar has been elected as Joint Secretary (Male), with Rida Noor securing the role of Joint Secretary (Female) unopposed.
Dr. Abrar Ilahi Malik, Muhammad Naveid Afzal, Sheikh Muhammad Asghar, Naveed Ahmad Aslam Warraich, Talha Saif, Faisal Raza Khan and Muhammad Rizwan elected as executive members in their respective decades.
Athar Ismail stated that the ORU would engage with Ravians living abroad for the development and uplift of their alma mater. He also expressed his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and the administration for successfully organizing the elections.
