The Government College University (GCU) Lahore on Friday organized a rally and ceremony to mark Youm-e-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) in recognition of the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. The rally began from the GCU Mosque and was led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry and Punjab Minister for Higher Education Rana Sikandar Hayat.
Speaking at the event, Punjab Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat commended the armed forces and reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening higher education. He said the leadership at GCU is focused on academic excellence and institutional growth. The Vice Chancellor highlighted the contributions of GCU alumni in national defence and paid tribute to the armed forces and martyrs. He stated that the university stands in solidarity with those who serve the nation. The ceremony concluded with prayers and messages of national unity.
